The next morning when we went back into Aquatopia we had our bags searched and snacks for kids were taken from us (also new from last year). She demanded a towel card which we were not given when we checked in (new from last year). The first night we arrived and went into Aquatopia we were met by the rudest employee when we went to get towels. Our first trip to Camelback over Thanksgiving weekend 2015 was fantastic and we couldn't wait to go back! This time around we were met with a much different experience. Did go next door to ride the Mountain Coaster-fun ride but very quick-4 minutes! They should offer a discount for a second ride around. Accommodations: stayed in King Bunk Suite-spacious and kids enjoyed the bunk beds-had a nice view of the mountains. Food inside Aquatopia was awful (undercooked and overpriced)-would recommend leaving the waterpark to eat in your room. Suggest that they have more Camelback/Aquatopia themed items to redeem tickets for. Swim Up pool bar had great drinks! Arcade is fun but expensive.
Would suggest that other rides have cameras too to capture moments. For $40 you can have all your pictures on a digital download. Storm Chaser water coaster takes your picture at the end and photographers are walking around the hotel to capture other moments. At night, less people in waterpark and even the FlowRider is lit up. Plenty of places to sit and lockers are large enough to hold a big duffel bag. This should be monitored and only used by kids over 13. Intense rides like body slides and FlowRider-the best! Venus Fly Trap Raft Ride is a must! Outdoor hot tub-downside: little kids are jumping and swimming when you re trying to relax in a hot tub. Excellent, clean water park with plenty of rides.
